 7.1            Introduction

 One-on-One Professional Business Training is committed to providing a fair and equitable learning environment and workplace for groups from all sectors of our community. The team is committed to finding new and innovative ways to ensure that all members of the community are able to achieve their life goals.

 7.2            Policy of Access and Equity

One-on-One Professional Business Training is committed to:

1.      Providing and Maintaining training services that provides an opportunity for all community members, client and staff regardless of their colour, religion, race, gender or disability to achieve the future from our training they desire

2.      Providing equity to all individuals through the allocation of resources in vocational education and training

3.      Providing equality of outcome within vocational education and training without discrimination

4.      Equal access to all people the appropriate vocational education and training programs and services

5.      providing an opportunity for all clients to participate in vocational education and training and to provide feedback in the vocational education and training system

7.3            Target Groups

One-on-One Professional Business Training is committed to providing access and equity to target disadvantaged groups which include but are not limited to; 

1.      Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

2.      People with a disability

3.      People from non-English Speaking Backgrounds

4.      People in workplace transition and other special groups

6.      Individuals from isolated communities

 7.4            Rules of Access and Equity

 One-on-One Professional Business Training has set core rules all staff and management must follow to ensure the  Access and Equity Policy is enforced:

 1.      All staff at One-on-One Professional Business Training are provided an equal opportunity in the decision making process in the direction of the organisation and in the allocation of resources and services.

2.      All clients are provided a fair and equitable opportunity to complete their training and achieve their desired outcomes

3.      All applicants are assessed equally by order of merit and weight is only given where two or more applicants are assessed equal, but one is found to be from one of the access and equity target groups or where benefit would be to the whole community

4.      where priority is give if the individual of a target group is determined to have suffered the greatest disadvantage and this opportunity would provide a new outcome for both the individual and also the community.
